Hello Tiger Family. We are still in our virtual learning environment and we would like to give a shout out to our administrators and teachers for providing us with leadership that works for all. We want to give another shout out to students for doing their best and achieving their academic goals.
In November we started our Mentor/Mentee program where teachers check in with their mentees. We have twenty-seven students who checked in monthly with their Mentors. We will have monthly themes for example, showing love and being kind to others.
We have a new student council for the 2020/2021 school year. Our council members are:
Jacinto De Leon Valasquez
A’Mauri Brown
Autumn Babino
Genesis D. LaCruz Hernandez
Kimberly Jaramillo
Govani Ortiz Lopez
Jazmine Green
Deepavali Bhattacharya
Mailyn McConnell
Farha Ahmed
Chanel Douma
Heidy Santos
Khaari Jackson
Marley Cronan
Sanjeda Jamal
Juliette Lespinasse
Emmanuel Abebe
At this time our student council is working on attendance videos for their classmates. They want to tell their classmates the importance of being online on-time, staying online until their lessons are concluded and to ask for permission for personal breaks.
Rack Room Shoes has provided us with shoes for some our students. Our students have benefited from this partnership and it was a success. Parents, please send Ms. Nelson pictures of students and their shoes so we can send a special Thank You. Again, Thank You Rack Rook Shoes!
Thank You Chamblee United Methodist Church, for providing out students with coats and gloves, you are a blessing!
Ms. Nelson has been providing individual counseling session with students to provide academic, social and personal support and Ms. Grayson has been providing classroom guidance lessons to our students. It is our goal and to make sure our students are provided with the tools and resources necessary to be successful academically, socially and personally. It has been a very busy time at Huntley Hills and will persevere through these difficult times. We have to have patience until we get to the other side. Continue to wear your masks and social distance. Be kind to others and support those who are in need.
Happy New Year Tigers!
