Runny noses, scraped knees and bruised elbows are a part of childhood -- including on occasion a broken bone. But our Nurse Khan does so much more than mending cuts, icing bumps and bruises. She provides the reassurance to our children that boo-boos heal and everything will be okay when we're not there to give a comforting hug. As if that's not enough to keep her busy, she pours over the latest CDC guidelines and ensures our kids are safe and remain healthy.
We asked Nurse Khan to share a little bit about herself with the parents and HHES community and here's what she said.
Tell us about what you do at Huntley Hills Elementary. I am the nurse.
What are three words that best describe you? Caring. Friendly. Hardworking.
What's one thing you can't live without? My family and caffeine.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you. I worked in a Psych hospital with kids for 12 yrs before I moved to GA. Also, I speak 3 languages English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
What do you like most about working with kids? Helping little ones is the most rewarding job I can think of. I like helping them feel better and the opportunity to educate them about their physical and mental health.
What's your proudest moment at Huntley Hills Elementary? I am proud of every moment I am able to help a crying child smile. If I am satisfied with the care they received I am proud of it every time.
Congratulations
